I like to make sure my days are as different as possible to keep things fun + interesting. Our minds are so powerful & it can be so easy to forget that they can completely overrule anything else.
Everyone has their little insecurities – I got a lot more self-confident in the past few years. I learned to step out of your comfort zone + be more mindful
.
COMFORT ZONE
-
“behavioral space where your activities & behaviors fit a routine & pattern that minimizes stress & risk. It provides a state of mental security.”
The comfort zone is so cosy. I don’t have to put a lot of effort into feeling well. The problem is, life almost always happens outside of my beloved comfort zone.
It may feel comfy for a while, but I know most of my regrets in life come from making fear-based decisions. And if you’re stuck in your comfort zone, you’re probably doing just that.
When I do take that jump out of the tight constrictions of my comfort zone, I am not only building self-esteem & confidence, but I am also likely to feel the thrill of adventure, of being alive. I gotta go out, explore the unfamiliar & jump into cold water in order to grow as a person. If I wouldn’t have stepped out of the cozy little corner, I would never be where I am now.
“A dream is your creative vision for your life in the future. You must break out of your current comfort zone & become comfortable with the unfamiliar & the unknown.” – Denis Waitley

Positivity
A lot of the things that happen in life are affected by our mindset. Low self-confidence is often caused by the negative thoughts running through our minds on an endless track. If you are constantly saying you’re not good/smart enough, you are creating a self-fulfilling prophecy. You are becoming what you are preaching inside your head, & that’s horrible. Instead, try to turn your negative thoughts into positive ones. You can actually change them & by doing this, I promise great things will happen.
Know yourself
You should feel really proud of yourself, your talents & skills; but you should also think about the things that make your personality great. Think about the good things about yourself, the things you can do well, the things you like. It can be your sense of humor, your listening skills, or your ability to help your friends. You may think there’s nothing about your personality worth admiring, but if you dig deep, you’ll realize that you have plenty of admirable qualities. Start listening to your thoughts.
Set small goals & achieve them
Shoot for something achievable. Set a little goal you know you can achieve, & then achieve it. Simple, eh? You’ll feel great about that. Now set another small goal & achieve that too. The more you achieve small goals, the better you’ll be at it, & the better you’ll feel. Soon you’ll be setting bigger goals.
Be grateful
If you have been reading this blog, I’m sure you know I consider myself a really grateful person. Being grateful for what you have in life, for what others have given you, is very important + it can also be a very positive activity that will improve your self-love. By appreciating what you have, you can combat the feeling of being dissatisfied. Finding the inner peace that accompanies true gratitude will do wonders for your confidence. Take some time to sit & think about all of the things you have going for you, from your family to your health.
Embrace your imperfections
What makes you uncomfortable or ashamed of yourself? This could be anything from acne, to friends, or a negative experience. Whatever is making you feel unworthy or inferior, identify it. Be aware of the problems you’re dealing with, & empower you to move past them. Nobody is perfect & everyone has flaws. But isn’t that what makes us special? Remember to embrace every little part of yourself.
Stop comparing yourself to others
We always compare ourselves to others. Stop trying to impress others. Pursue your dreams & try to live the life you want to, instead of doing what you’re told. It will definitely be worth it. We should all focus on ourselves & do what makes us happy. You want to wear that skirt? Why not! Just because your friend doesn’t like it doesn’t mean you can’t wear it. Remember you have the control of your life.
Smile
A little tiny thing that can have a chain reaction. Not a bad investment of time & energy. It really works.
“Real life is messy. We all have limitations. We all make mistakes. And the more we try to understand one another, the more exceptional each of us will be. But we have to try. So no matter what kind of person you are, I implore you: Try. Try to make the world a better place. Look inside yourself and recognize that change starts with you.”
